Bara Brith (Spotted Bread).
(For 1 loaf.)

Ingredients.

1 oz Currants
3 oz sultanas.
8 oz Dark Brown Sugar.
1/2 pint hot tea.
14 oz S.R. Flour.
1 Egg.

Method.

1.. Put fruit and sugar in bowl, add hot tea and cover, leave overnight.

2.. Stir flour and eggs into the mixture. Place in lined cake tin.

3.. Bake in oven at 150 C for 1 ½ hours.

4.. Leave to cool, then turn out, wrap in cling film and store overnight.

5.. Serve sliced with butter or on its own.
