Cruises 26 to 29.

 

26 - The Caldon Canal including a trip on the steam railway. A 'One Centre cruise' from Stoke to Consul Forge and back.

Unfortunately this cruise is now fully booked.

Wednesday 29th Sept. to Wednesday 6th Oct. 7 nights for £665 per berth.

Starting in the centre of the potteries the Caldon canal follows a wooded valley. Its course is narrow and secluded, civilisation is kept at a distance as we travel back in time to the possible accompaniment of steam trains. At this time of the year the tress which overhang much of the route should be changing to their Autumn colours.

Wednesday night at Stoke; Thursday Endon Bank; Friday Hazelhurst; Saturday Consul Forge; Sunday Ceddelton; Monday Endon Bank; Tuesday Stoke.

    Join the boats in Stoke in time for dinner on Saturday, cruise with us down the Caldon canal to Consul Forge before leaving us by taxi back to Stoke when we moor up at teatime on the Saturday.
  • 26B-Short Break Saturday 2nd October to Wednesday 6th October 4 nights for £435.
    Be collected by taxi from Stoke to join us on the boats at Consul Forge in time for dinner on the Saturday. Cruise back up the Caldon canal. Leave us after Breakfast on the Wedneday in Stoke.

27 - The Macclesfield Canal. A 'One Centre cruise' from Stoke.

Wednesday 6th Oct. to Wednesday 13th Oct. 7 nights for £665 per berth.

Start and finish with the Harecastle Tunnel one of the longest tunnels on the UK canals. Then cruise along the beautiful Macclesfield canal as it skirts the edge of the Peak Forest. There are high embankments and spectatular views over the Cheshire plains on one side and up to the moors of the Peak District on the other. Then we finish our first half by following a valley up to moor in the former inland port of Buxworth basin. Finalley we return back to Stoke giving you a chance to appreciate that views really do look different from the other way!

Wednesday night at; Thursday Bosley; Friday Bollington; Saturday Whaley Bridge; Sunday Bolington; Monday Bosley; Tuesday Stoke.

    Join the boats in Stoke in time for dinner on Wednesday, cruise with us the full lenth of theMacclesfield canal before leaving us by taxi back to Stoke when we arrive at Whalley Bridge at teatime on the Saturday.
  • 6B-Short Break Saturday 10th October to Wedneday 13th October 4 nights for £435.
    Be collected by taxi from Stoke to join us on the boats at Whalley Bridge in time for dinner on the Saturday. Cruise the full length of the Macclesfield Canal back to Stoke. Leave us after Breakfast on the Wednesday.

28 - Potteries to Cathedrals! Stoke to Coventry.

Wednesday 13th October to Thursday 20th October. 8 nights for £755 per berth.

Travel back in time as you follow a section of one of the earliest canals to be built. A chance to finish the year by travelling a wide selection of canals.
