Worcester Monday 15th September to Penkridge Monday 22nd September. Seven nights, £595 per berth.

We start with a day up the River Severn taking us from the cathedral city of Worcester to the Georgian canal port of Stourport. The rest of the cruise is on the Staff & Worcester canal. A canal full of
delightful features, a tunnel with houses over it, rock cut caves, cliffs overhanging the canal, a staircase lock, and the unique three locks at Bratch. Every mile there is something fascinatingly different.

On the evening of Monday at Worcester; Tuesday Stourport; Wednesday Wolverly; Thursday Gotherley Round House; Friday Bratch; Saturday Coven Heath; Sunday Penkridge.

25 Travel to the Potteries.

Penkridge Monday 22nd September to Stoke Saturday 27th September. Five nights, £435 per berth.

Join us at Penkridge to drop down the Staff and Worcester to Great Haywood, skirting around Stafford then joining the Trent & Mersey canal. Locks are scattered except for the flights which lead us through Stone and later into Stoke. You have a chance to visit the Wedgwood pottery at Barlaston and we can also arrange for a visit to Shrugborough Hall near Great Haywood.

On the evening of Monday at Penkridge; Tuesday Great Haywood; Wednesday Stone; Thursday Barlaston; Friday Stoke.

26 The calm of the Caldon.

Stoke Saturday 27th September back to Stoke Friday 3rd October. Six nights, £515 per berth.

Starting in the centre of the potteries, for most of its length the Caldon canal follows a wooded valley. Its course is narrow and secluded, civilisation is kept at a distance as we travel back in time to the accompaniment of steam trains.

On the evening of Saturday Stoke; Sunday Endon Bank; Monday Consall Forge; Tuesday Cheddleton; Wednesday Endon Bank; Thursday Stoke.

The Caldon Canal

 

27 A fearsome tunnel and unique locks.

Stoke Friday 3rd October to Nantwich Wednesday 8th October. Five nights £435 per berth.

Starting in the middle of the city of Stoke on Trent we leave it through Harecastle one of the longest and lowest tunnels on the canals of the UK. We then spend two days descending though paired narrow locks to Middlewich on the Cheshire plain. Our final day sees us passing through country which has more cows that people! Finally we moor near the market town of Nantwich.

On the evening of Friday at Stoke; Saturday Church Lawton; Sunday Malkins Bank; Monday Middlwich; Tuesday Nantwich.
