Pictures of the Grand Union Canal,
Lapworth to Camp Hill.
This section takes the Grand Union into Birmingham, but it takes it's time about it. First comes a long rural section. Then Knowle locks, broad and heavy to work but set in the country. The next level run takes the canal into the outskirts of Birmingham but set in it's wooded cuttings Birmingham it kept well hidden. The city does not really impinge upon the canal until the final lock flight, that of Camp Hill is reached. These locks unlike the rest on the Grand Union are narrow locks.
