This picture shows the main lounge at the front of Oak. You are looking
towards the stern from the front doors. At the rear you can see part of
our library of canal books and videos, also the radio/CD player. To the
left of that a gangway goes into the kitchen.
This picture is also of the main lounge on Oak. This time you are standing
by the kitchen looking forward. On the left is the coal stove. To the
right of the door is the bar with over it the TV screen. Through the doors
you can see the cockpit with one of the side seats, also the cratch at
the front with windows in it to let you see forwards at all times.

A picture again of the lounge, also from the kitchen end, but this one
shows dinner in progress. The table has now been extended to take up to
twelve people.
The smaller lounge at the front of Ash. You are looking in from the front
doors. Again you can see part of our library of canal books on the shelf.
The front lounge on Ash, looking forward this time. You can see the radio/CD
player on the right. You can also look through the doors and see one of
the two seats in the front cockpit.
This picture shows a single bedroom, you are looking towards the foot
of the bed. To the left is the wardrobe with two drawers under it, one
of them with a lock. To the right is a shelf of assorted novels if you
wish to read. You also have a window.
The same single bedroom, but this time looking towards the head of the
bed. You can see the wash basin to the right of the bed, with storage
shelves below it and a mirror fronted cupboard above it. Between the bed
and the wash basin is a radiator with a shelf and reading light over it.
| One of the two showers on Ash,
both are 30 inch square large domestic size showers, |
Each of the shower rooms has
a wash basin and a toilet alongside the shower. Note the radiator in the
background, with a towel rail over it to warm your towel. The shower is
to the right in this picture, hidden by the open door. |
The rear cabin on Ash can either be made up as a twin bedded room, as
in these pictures, or if the beds are moved together and double sheets
and quilt fitted it becomes a double room. Guests tell us which way they
want it made up. The picture on the right is taken from the door. There
are more assorted novels on the rear wall, above the chest with a bedside
light on it.
The last picture is also of the twin/double cabin, this time looking
forward It shows the wash basin and the wardrobe alongside. In addition
to storage in the small bedside chest there are also two large drawers
under one bed. (What looks like more books in the top right of the
picture is the rear book shelves reflected in the mirror fronted cupboard
above the wash basin.) The door is open showing the corridor outside
the cabin.
